The hall was built to commemorate the coronation of George VI in 1937. It is situated in a rural setting surrounded by fields, with a small car park and on street parking on a quiet road. An entrance is provided for disabled visitors. The adjacent field can also be rented.

It is licensed for use by up to 125 people with a large hall, stage, lighting, keyboard and loudspeaker equipment. The kitchen was modernised in 2001. It can cater for 100 people, and there is a separate servery.

Regular uses include art groups, children’s parties, wedding receptions, lunches and suppers, talks, dances, discos, film shows, band practices.

A Coffee Morning is held on the first Wednesday of each month from 10.30am - 12 noon. Entrance 50p. All residents and visitors are very welcome. There is a Bring and Buy Stall where there is always a good selection of books, priced from 10p - 50p - excellent if you want some holiday reading!

Do come! It is a chance to meet friends and make new ones. The proceeds help to maintain the hall.
