Slindon C.E. Primary School
Slindon Church of England Primary School is a small rural school in the
heart of the beautiful National Trust village of Slindon.
The DNA of the school is - Develop, Nurture and Achieve. The school aims to
provide an environment where everyone values and respects each other and in
which personal and academic development flourishes. The result is that
children develop their talents. The school is an exciting place to learn and
work and during 2010 extensive work has taken place to create new outdoor
class rooms and to develop the wildlife area. The school has approx 60
children aged between 4 - 11 years who work in one of 3 mixed age classes.
Class sizes are small and the adult pupil ratio is good.

Slindon College
Housed in Slindon House and overlooking the Slindon estate, Slindon College has a special niche. With numbers maintained at around 100 boys, classes contain no more than 12 pupils. Most classes enjoy the benefit of a dedicated Learning Support Assistant in addition to the subject specialist. The staff:pupil ratio is also high and there is great emphasis on supporting individual needs. Boarders and day boys enjoy a Monday to Friday working week.
Boys who would not thrive in the hurly-burly environment of a bigger school, will flourish in the small, caring, highly supportive community of Slindon College. A wide and varied extra-curricular program encourages the pursuit of music, outdoor activities and sport.
There are outstanding IT facilities, running SUCCESSMAKER the latest literacy, numeracy and Science Discovery software. This is tailored to meet the needs of boys receiving Learning Support – providing help with literacy and numeracy difficulties, such as dyslexia. Support is also provided for boys with ADD/ADHD and mild ASD.
