The Spur is our local inn, situated on the A29, just past the turning to Shellbridge Road.  The family owned Spur dates back to the 17th century.  Extensively refurbished over the past 15 years, it retains a cosy and welcoming atmosphere with log fires in the Winter and beautiful large gardens for warm Summer days.  It also has a skittle alley.  Opening hours:  Monday to Saturday – 11.30 am to 3.00 pm and 6.00 pm to 11.00 pm; Sunday – 12.00 pm to 10.30 pm.  Tel:  01243 814216.

The Black Horse, Binsted reopened in 2012 after extensive refurbishment.  It is now a handsome traditional pub and restaurant tucked away in the hamlet of Binsted, over the A27.  Good food and well kept ales are available.  Tel:  01243 553325.
