JULY

The arrangements for the fire-damaged Westhampnett Amenity tip have changed.

Refuse collection every Wednesday, recycling every other Wednesday
– recycling dates for July are Wednesday 3rd  & Wednesday  17th July

Note The Library Van service (usually every other Thursday morning) has been suspended because the vehicle is unroadworthy. No news of future plans as yet.

Each weekday night until Tuesday 30 July – EASTBOUND A27 closed.
Overnight (8pm to 6am) each weekday from the flyover just before Tangmere to Fontwell.
This will affect any evening/night time journeys RETURNING to Slindon from Chichester and beyond. Click here for details

AUGUST

(Note – there is no Parish Council meeting in August).

Wednesday 31st July to Friday 23 August – WESTBOUND A27 closed overnight (8pm to 6am) each weekday, from Fontwell to flyover just beyond Tangmere.

Wednesday 7th August from 10.30 – Monthly Coffee morning.
Following the August tradition, this months coffee morning is scheduled to take place in the garden of ‘Timbers’, by kind invitation of Teresa & Frank Meaby.

Saturday 10 August – ‘The Odds of Being Earnest’ – Coronation Hall
New play featuring Slindon actors Paula Tinker & Gareth Williams.
An imagined ‘sequel’ to Oscar Wilde’s “The Important of Being Earnest”

August 11 & 18  3-5 pm Cream Teas in Eartham Village Hall
Everyone is welcome. £5 per person – and home grown produce, home made jams pickles etc on sale
The proceeds from Eartham village events this year will help to fund traffic
calming measures in the village.

OCTOBER

27th Bi- Annual Slindon Pudding Club Auction, The Spur
Its a long way off, but the Slindon Pudding Club are now looking for donations of choice lots and pledges for the auction. To make a donation of Antiques, Art, Furniture, Household goods, Garden ware, Services or Pledges; Please call Charles on 01243 814440, email auction@slindonpuddingclub.co.uk or talk to any member of the club.
